Re: take five quilt pattern
I have the pattern; but, have not made the quilt.
I bought the pattern for 'future' reference for our guild retreat. On the fifth year, use "take five"......

Is that similar to the tossed 9 patch which uses 5" charms?

"Take five" has become my new favorite. It's easier and quicker than tossed 9 or yellow brick road. I think it would work with scraps especially if some had a larger pattern as one square is 8", the others are 4" and 4 x 8". The only seams to match are when you put the rows together. Have fun.

I got the pattern at my LQS, but the company is " The Teacher's Pet", and in the title they don't spell out five, they show the number (5). You might have luck finding it that way.

Re: take five quilt pattern
This is such a simple quilt you don't really need a pattern. If you look at thi picture I found, you can see it's made of square blocks ... and you can make the blocks as big or as small as you like.
You can see they used five colors and that each block consists of five pieces: A big square, three little squares, and one oblong piece.
1: Stitch two small squares together.
2: Stitch that piece to the large square.
3: Stitch one small square to the obling piece.
4: Stitch those two pieces together.
You can join them on a diagonal like in this picture, or join them in horizontal rows. To imagine how the horizontal block placement would look, stare at the picture and tilt your head to the left.
