I hope we can continue - I'm really excited about trying this.
I've started making my blocks - how many are we down to so that I can make the right number?
Thanks everyone!

I just have a second between calls at work, so I thought I'd post and let you know that I'll be sending out my mailing address no later than Saturday. I got in from a 3 day business conference last night around 10:30 and tonight I've got an awards ceremony to go to.

Please send 19 blocks. I think we are down to 20 players (I'm counting Joel since he has not specifcially dropped out). The blocks will fit nicely in a gallon zip top bag. Make sure your real name, forum name and return mailing address is included with the blocks.

I weighed my blocks last night and they came in around 9 or 10 ounces, so I'm thinking postage will be about $3. Please include a self addressed stamped envelope to get the blocks back to you. I will be taking all of the packages to the post office on the same day, so stamps are OK, but please no APC stickers.

The packages need to be postmarked by Monday, June 2nd. I'll get the packages back in the mail by Monday, June 16th.

If you have any questions, please post or PM me.

Pam, DJ had mentioned that neither she nor Island Girl will be participating in the swap. We were down to 20, now it's 18??

When will we get your address? For me, it could take up to 2 weeks and sometimes more for a package to arrive and in Canada, the post office is not opened on Saturdays. :-)

Yes, what is APC stickers??

Ok, so if I understand correctly, bethstreet, IslandGirl & DJ have dropped out. So, the list as I understand it is as follows:

1.Joel aka me
2.leetec
3. astitchintime
4. CindyB
5. institcheswithrosie
6. knitnoid
7. swtsarahjane
8. scrappie66
9. MAWmum
10.teacupdelights
11.september
12.Abbigail
13.jacquie2
14.KatieKola
15.maryq
16.SQUEELQuilter
17.DouceFleur1
18.Aussiewendy

SO, you only need to send 17 blocks.

APC stickers are Automated Postal Center stickers. They can either be bought online or after postal hours at some post offices. But please, do not use them on the return envelope. The post office gives me grief if they are more than a day or two old.

I'm back from the awards ceremony where the Olathe North Orchestra won the Blue Star Award for Outstanding Orchestra - Once on this Island. My husband who directed the orchestra got to accept the award. It was exciting.

Anyway, I've actually gotten the PMs out with my mailing address. If you are part of this swap and didn't get a PM from me, please let me know.

There were a couple of people who are on the list who have not posted to this thread. I certain hope that doesn't mean they forgot they were participating. Regardless we'll go with 17 blocks.

If you haven't started your blocks, please use this weekend to make a dent in them. There is only 11 days left to get them in the mail.

Please let us know how you are doing and when you put the blocks in the mail so I can be on the look out for them.

Thanks for participating. I can't wait to see all of the blocks. We are going to have a great quilt.
