My ruler slides around :(

Post by JudyWoo » Mon Jan 07, 2008 3:31 pm

How can I keep my 6" x 6" ruler from moving ever-so-slightly when I'm trimming a block to the right size? It's one I bought at JoAnn's years ago and it tends to scoot a little. Is there a trick you gals use, like putting something on the under-side to make it not so slippery?

I've ordered a new one from QIAD and I'm hoping when it arrives that it's non-slip.

My mom puts clear vinyl on the back of her rulers. She says it helps, but I've never tried it so I can't give you any first hand advice. She also suggests using one of those little suction cup handles you can get at Joanns.

How does she use the suction cup handle? Does she put it on the top of the ruler and just press down on it or does it go underneath?

I ordered a product from QIAD called Lickety Split. It is for fingers but I put a little on my rulers too.

It goes on the top, just press down so the sucction cup holds on to the ruler. I'm going to be getting one for a couple of my small rulers.

RLOL! I'm so glad I ordered the Invisigrip cuz' I wouldn't want to contact customer service and inquire about the stuff that makes "little glue dots that look like snot". hehehe

I know what you mean though ... it's the stuff used to attach little sample-packs in Avon booklets, etc.
