Looks like you had fun.... but I do have to ask a question. This is the second time I saw pictures of members meeting, and both times there were boas included.
Is this a quilting lady thing? Kind of like the red hat ladies?

Newby - welcome to the forums!!
The boas are all El's fault - she started them *points to Eleanor Burns picture*! We use them to recognize each other when we meet for the first time!
I don't know why Marcia and I didn't get together sooner.... Ames is about 1 hour away from both of us...
Mary - we'll have to plan something BIG! Now that you won't be working weekends, maybe we can do a sleepover?? We could go along I-35 and see what's happening. Sounds like Marcia has scoped out a lot of cool shops between Des Moines and Minneapolis!

Re: How to end the year in style....
OH BOY, did we ever have a GREAT time!!!!!!! I should tell you that the reason I was running behind schedule was due to a "quick" stop in a fabric shop on the way to meet up with Cindy B. My plan was to stop in the quilt shop to pick up my last BOM packet and my Mystery Quilt packet for a Quilt Retreat I will be attending the first weekend in February. Well......the two gals that own the store told me they would extend their fabric sale just for ME (25% off any fabric on the bolt and 33% off Christmas fabric on the bolt)...even though the sale had ended the day before!!!!! Now how could I turn down a kind offer like that??!!! LOL Needless to say, I made it worth their while!
The pictures Cindy posted show just a wee bitty portion of the HUGE amount of fun & fellowship we had!!!! (Please note there were NO pictures of us taken with our purchases that day....it would have been too incriminating!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL)
Anyway, we talked the world over and thought we had solved the world's problems...but found out that we must meet again because we had NOT resolved the world's issues yet! TeeHee! (Good excuse to meet again, right?!) Gosh- Cindy and I had a super-duper time and hope to meet other forum friends. But I ought to warn ya: we talk 100 miles per hour and....we still didn't get everything said! So, on the way home we talked on our cell phones to one another! HA!
Can hardly wait to do it again...and hope others will be able to join us!
Hugs~Marcia
