It is only 9:15 pm here in California. I took a break to have supper with DH and then watched a show with him, now I am back with all of you and he is watching a movie. I read thru the posts and got hungry for fried bread with butter and honey!! I may have to make some tomorrow.
Happy New Year to all, we watched the fireworks on our local news that they had over the bridge in Sydney and thought of our aussie sisters. How pretty and what fun to have such fabulous fireworks to watch as the new year starts.
DH and I will be celebrating the new year with homemade berry pie and a hot beverage after a glass of the bubbly to toast with. My drink of choice is coffee and irish cream so I am really looking forward to that in front of my fireplace in about 2 1/2 hours.
I can't wait until tomorrow to be able to do some sewing for fun!! What a great way to start the year.

I am trying to be good and work on the last two formals I need to have ready for Saturday but it just so much more fun to be here and chat. I want to be able to do nothing except sew for fun so I guess I better get busy with those last two so I can. Who else is planning to sew tomorrow and what are you going to work on?

My DD is a rainbow girl and is in a reception on Saturday. She wears formals to all her major events and I make all of them. I am also making one for another girl who does not have anyone else to sew for her. It is such a pretty dress but so many different pieces and I have to pay attention as I sew. There will be four girls all dressed in the same formal and they will look darling.
