Oh pretty, pretty! The curves in that second picture look especially, um, challenging--! Was it very difficult using Inka's method? You did a great job!

Carol. . . .
It isn't hard, a little time consuming stitching all the curves but beautiful patterns on the website:
http://www.southwindquilts.com/
I find myself looking at regular patterns, like the one in the runners, and seeing how I could use the technique on them. On the corner pieces that you sew onto the biggest block and turn them back to get the point, you would fold that piece into the triangle, use a little glue to hold it in place, then sew the seams. When done with all seams you gently roll/peel the fold back, press then stitch and it will give the piece the rounded look instead of the point. The website has such beautiful quilts to look at.
Thank you for all the kind comments, everyone did a wonderful job on their blocks, they went together beautifully. Hope I win the Christmas one next year also, they are making nice gifts as well as a few for me. ;~)

WOW! It feels so good, Oasis, that somebody HAS understood my attempt to explain this technique! You have done a great job! Beautiful! Those quilted flowers are cute, too!
And I love your table-runners-to-be! A very pretty pattern! Is it a nine-patch? Is there an Y-seam involved or were the pieces "resembling a little house" cut into two("house body and roof")? Please advise.I would like to learn this block.

Hi Inka. . . .
No "Y" seams! Caroline chose this block for us all to do for the Christmas Block Lotto. It is very easy and as you can see very versatile. Kind of reminds me of the "Pink Lemonade" block. Here is the website we copied it from:
http://www.quilterscache.com/Q/QuatrefoilsBlock.html
Thank you so much for your comments, and introducing us to the "Peeled Back" method. I ordered the book the day I saw your pieces posted. Do you see a way to use this method in other blocks? After the Holidays I'm going to try some of the folded pieces on the block in the table runner. I think you will like the quilters cache and with your talent you will be able to "adjust" any of them to your liking.
