Marilynsgrammy there are two retreats, each with 2 sessions (3 night each session)

1 is in May. 1 in November.

I only know the dates for the November retreats 2008.
Nov. 10th through Nov. 16th. Thats' 2 sessions. ( session 1) 11/10/08 through 11/13/08.....session 2) 11/13/08 through 11/16/08 )

<grin> I signed up for both. 1 week at a retreat with El right before the Holidays start does wonders. (Ann/Gmaan, Pat and Diane also signed up for the whole week).

CindyB, no doubt about getting hooked onto going to this retreat.
It's better then most vacations. LOL quilters are angels, so you'll feel like you're in Heaven.

Camp cedar Glen is close to the city of Julian. Most of that mountain area is part of 'Cleveland National Forest'.

The retreat is in the middle of nature. There is wild life, azure blue skies, and it is just SO peacefull.

No or little cell phone access. (There is ONE pay phone)
There were no computers, no TV's. No one comes to interupt you. The sewing halls are open 24/7.

OH, ALL meals are cooked and they are very tasty.

The teachers are available from 8AM till 8PM. The QIAD store is open during the same hours.

There are special demo's (you go to them only if you're interested in them). Sandy taught machine quilting.

You can take you car and go to Julian to explore if you want. You can sleep, walk or read (Or stand on your head). You are free to come and go when ever you want. You can dress any way you want. LOL I did run into carolJ who actually was quilting in the sewing room in her jammies.

At night the sky is starry.

LOL, what else can I tell you about Camp Cedar Glen.

How many days untill Nov. 10th?

Susanna you did a fantastic job of bringing the retreat to those of us that were not there. Thank you so much. You are a great ambassador for El and QIAD.

Everyone looks so comfortable and relaxed. Since the sewing studio is open 24/7 I think I might have joined CarolJ wearing my jammies also. LOL

I love the quarter trip quilts, the colors are coordinated perfectly. At lease IMHO. LOL

Thanks Susanna . . . . Love your car, I want to ride with you!

Have Fun,
