What I did Today Instead of Cleaning!!!

Okay, so I did clean a little bit... but darn that sewing machine just kept calling out to me. I had this all pinned and basted so I tried my hand at a little "free motion" with my darning foot--was kind of fun! Then watching TV I got the binding sewn down. Also finished piecing another runner, but have no batting on hand so that will wait until I can get out of town and head to Joann or Walmart for batting!

I only did free motion in the gold parts, not on the gold border. Should I got back and add a little more quilting on the border?

Mary your colors are very nice. What little free motion I have tried, I kind of like doing it also. I need lots and lots of practice though. These runners are fun to make.

Now wasn't that more fun than cleaning?????? LOL

Mary ~ How beautiful!! The colors are amazing together and you did a great job, I would probably leave it just as it is because it is so pretty. I have never tried the free motion but I really want to after seeing yours. Thanks for sharing with us.

Mary, I love the colors you chose they so striking together.

I have been doing free motion quilting for a couple of months and I really enjoy it. Now I just have to start practicing doing some continous line quilting using a stencil. I keep putting a LA on my wish list but that is all it is so far, a wish.
