Re: El's Angels First Guild Meeting Is In Session!
quiltwithmum,
No,these are pics my daughter took (well the roos are anyway) when she was working in a national park while at university. She also took the photos of the koala and 1 of the platypus when she was doing uni work at Australia Zoo ( The late Steve Irwin the Croc Hunters sanctuary)
We get roos in town here occasionally when there is a flood,(they are a common sight on the side of the road and in the paddocks) and we have a little colony of koalas on our farm

Sure thing CindyB. I think I have them on the puter in my QIAD file. I'll check later and send them.
OH that is the one I had on file. Only I didn't make them like that. I will check in my sewing room in the binder.

Hi everyone....It looks like you all are having fun tonight.
I'm on my lap top; and checking in...going to applique. This is so much fun.
I went into Chit Chat and can not find the directions for the two sided pillow case. Can you cut and paste here?

Kadie you have Koala's on your farm? WOW! How neat is that! How is Lucy? Getting excited about her new job and move? These young women today just amaze me with their strength. Wish I had their bravery & guts.

Re: El's Angels First Guild Meeting Is In Session!
Why, I just copied it to save for me:
Sleepy Time Pillowcase
Fabric Requirements
3/4 yard Main Fabric
1/4 yard Border Band
2" Accent Strip
Cutting
Main Fabric: Pillowcase body: 27" x 41" (Trim Selvage ends only)
Border Band: 9" x 41"
Accent Band: 2" x 41"
Construction
Sew the seams with your serger if you have one, otherwise use a French Seam. To make a French Seam, place fabrics wrong sides together and sew a 1/8” seam. Turn and press on seam with right sides together, then sew a 3/8” seam. This will encase the raw edge and give a nice finish to the inside of the case.
Press accent strip in half lengthwise, wrong sides together. Pin the folded strip to the right side of body along one 41” side, raw edges matching and sew through all layers 1/4” from edge. If your main fabric is directional, please consider which end is “up!”
Sew the side seam with serger or French Seam. Sew the bottom with serger or French Seam.
Sew the short sides of the ban right sides together with a 1/4” seam, forming a circle.
Pin the right side of the band to the wrong side of the case and sew with a 1/4” seam.
Turn under raw edge 1/2” and press. Turn to right side of case and align folded edge over top of previous stitching. Top stitch in place.
