I checked out claudiasquiltshop.com and I decided I would work on the BOM to use up some of my scraps. I printed out the patterns for the five months posted and have the first month's blocks done.

SewSew, I just went to that website and it looks like a search engine. Where is the BOM?

knitnoid. . . .What a great website, thanks so much. I'm going to start a binder with tabs for block sizes. This gives basic directions for piece sizes for a finished/unfinished size block. When someone here needs a particular size block I can go to that size tab and use whatever colors/fabric that was chosen and have the correct size pieces right at my fingetips.

SewSew. . . . I think I am going to join you and make the block of the month (BOM) also. Then see if I can put together a sort of scrappy quilt at the end. If nothing else, it will use up all those little extra squares that are left over from whatever patten I'm doing at the time. Hopefully will cut down on so many left overs. LOL
Have Fun,

Sometime last week I finished sewing my 2" pastel squares into 4-patches. I'm going to set them on point like I did for the baby quilt I finished last month, so now I'm in the process of trimming the squares and adding side triangles.

I guess I'm going to have to dig through my stash again and cut more squares. I miss having something for the leaders/enders. I've got a popcorn can full of scraps which need to be cut up, so perhaps tomorrow I'll put in a new blade and work on that.

I've been working on my 4-patch strippy quilt and discovered I only had enough 4 patches for 6 columns. I need 7! So, yesterday and today I've been cutting more 2" pastel squares. While I was at it, I started looking for a new header/ender project and found the free pattern Chiclets on this website: http://www.brandysquiltpatterns.com/'>h ... terns.com/

So, I've been cutting 2 1/2" squares for the next project.

Ok, I want to know who doesn't have a scrap basket?!?
I have like 2 huge storage tubs of scraps!
I love them, it's like making whole quilts for free!
I can't wait to try some of the new patterns. I usually make quick quilts from scraps and donate them to a church project we have.
Thanks for all the good info & pics!
Happy quilting!
