Gwen....great idea to do jars. I also have a pattern for books on a shelf, some of these would look cute as book spines.

Lynn-glad you enjoyed putting this together, mine were "left overs" from the 4 I Spy quilts I did for Christmas I was happy to trade them and replenish my stash with new squares. That is why my 30 bags were all different :)

Everyone-I just keep pouring through these and thinking that I need to make a quilt to keep for me, how fun would a quilt like this be to curl up under on a porch swing and be a kid again....

Sadiedaisy, thanks for the link for StitchinMission. Their quilt patterns are cute and easy, just the kind of thing I'm looking for.

Another website that has great patterns that are simple is:

My charms were waiting for me when I got home! I haven't had a chance to look at them yet but what I've seen looks great! I'l take some time tomorrow to look at them all. :) Thank you Lynn for hosting this swap! You did a great job!

Got my charms back yesterday! It was late last night when I finally got a chance to look at them. I am so thrilled with every last one of them!!!! I just want to put away all my other UFOs (& there are lots of them!) and start this one right away! Thank you to all who participated, and a big thanks to Lynn...I can't imagine how time consuming this was for you! Can't wait to try that recipe! Taunya

Cool! Looks like most of you got your charms back. Just a few more packages left to arrive home. I already sorted out my charms so that I can make something for my son and something for my niece.

I don't know what pattern I'll do yet but I think it would look good to have the charms set on point, with side triangles and each charms bordered by a 1 to 1.5 inch sashing with squares. So each block to set on point would have a charm bordered by strips to the top and right, with a smaller square in the upper corner.

OK...I think I blew it. I cut my charms 6", but most of the ones I received were 6.5". Did I miss something and it was changed to 6"
"finished?"

I feel really bad. I hope you will be able to use my charms for something.

Diane,
I'm sure it's no problem... I've participated in several swaps, and I'm sure that I'll end up cutting many of the blocks for different patterns anyway. I'm thinking I will use a lot of my I Spy swaps for a jar quilt-- and the pattern I want use has jars, books, and all sorts of other items that you may find on a book shelf--- so most of the blocks will be trimmed. I think the fish fabrics would be adorable as fish bowls.

I'm just thrilled with all the fabrics I got, and I'm sure everyone else is too. Glad you took part! The more the merrier!

Diane..no stress...the fabrics are fun and I bet 99% of us are using them for patterns that require trimming them in some way.

Aren't the fabrics all fun?
