Re: Tried Something New
When I once was quilting, I used the same decorative stitch method and I was pleased with the outcome. Your turned out great. Any snow yet?
Had not been in Denver 4 hours and started to snow, when I work up on Sun. Oct 20th---had a foot of snow. It was beautiful and melted away by Monday. Otherwise weather was very nice. Overcast a a little chilly when I left the past Wed. afternoon.

This is so bright! I love the colors. Any baby, young child will love this one. The binding with little hearts is fantastic. What a wonderful job you did with this quilt.
This is probably a stupid questions to most of you. But what the heck is Minkee fabric?? It looks like some kind of fleece. I've seen that sort of soft fleece at JoAnns. Is that what it is?

Hi Quiltwithmom...don't know if JoAnn's would carry Minkee or not. You probably would have to go to a quilt store. Although they do make clothing and other things out of it. It's pretty spendy...usually about $18/yard, but it is 60" wide. It's much softer than fleece. I'm trying to think of something to compare it to. It has a slicker feel than fleece. It's a little difficult to work with because the backside is shiney and slippery. I think they carry it at Virginia Quilter, but I don't know if you can tell by the pictures how soft it is.

I love the decorative stitching, it is so cute. I have to try it on one of my next projects. I also want to try Minke, have never tried to use it before but it looks darling on yours, so I just may have to use it for DGD and DGS. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
Happy stitching!!
