Hi Lowell...Minkee is a super soft furry like fabric. It's much softer than fleece. It kind of reminds me of those really really soft stuffed animals, but I don't know if they are made out of Minkee or not. It is pretty expensive...around $18 a yard, but it is also about 60" wide or so. Not the easiest fabric to work with. The back side is kind of slippery and it is very stretchy.

Next time you go to your LQS see if they have any. It's at least worth a touch.

Wow. That's what you call a baby quilt?? That baby will be able to do some real growin' and still keep the quilt.

I loved the table runner you did from the Nickel Quilts book. I recently went through that book myself. I'm now collecting 5" squares ;)

I love your idea on the binding, it looks great! I will be using this great idea soon.
I have been looking for the quilt block in your table runner for a long time. Can you give me more information on the name of the block and the Nickle Quilt book that you used? This is a great find, thanks.

Hi Jer...the block came from the NIckel Quilt book by Pat Speth & Charlene Thode. I think they have another one out now. This was in the first book. The pattern is called Labor Day Madness on page 78. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Bumping this back to the top. I just love the way you used the decorative stitching!
