
The centre of town is the Cathedral, built somewhere around the year of 1150 by the Danish Viking king!

Just behind the Cathedral is the university (founded in 1666) where I work. As you can see, the fall colors are just barely starting to show. In the summer, the fountain is surrounded by a multitude of different flowers in all colors, and then I sometimes sit there in the shade and work on my laptop. There's a wireless high speed internet connection that works in the park!

One of the university libraries is already wrapped in fall colors (I don't know the English name of the plant growing on the walls):

The streets in the town can't be expanded, because there are so many old buildings, so cars are banned in the whole town centre (although taxis and buses are allowed in some streets). So, here's what one of the car free streets look like:

And, another one. I don't know if it shows in the pic, but in between the cobble stones there are white bike directions rather than car directions, LOL!

And, finally, couldn't resist to also include a pic from last spring, of the magnolias outside of the main university building, because I think they are so pretty...
