Hi MDQuilta,
Welcome to the Forum. Love your bear! He is actually cuter than the ones in the book! I love the patchwork look on him. Great job!

He is sooooo cute!
Was he difficult to make? I've never made anything like that.

It is soooooo cute!
I love making stuffed animals but have not made any in patch work design. I love it. I just ordered a pattern that will make a puppy out of yoyos. Haven't made yoyos before but the puppy is really cute.

Re: Christmas Bear
Thanks for all the compliments. I saw the program also and just HAD to make one. These were scraps from a friend all cut and some sewn together.
It is really more like sewing a garment than quilting. It would be easier with just one piece of fabric as I had to be careful to make sure the squares did not come unstitched. There is also some bulk going over the seams. You just have to be careful.
I thought putting on the legs and arms was sort of like putting in a sleeve. I was a garment sewer before a quilter.
I did not make it for anybody and it sits on top of my bookcase. I figure the right place will come along sometime.

Re: Christmas Bear
Great Job, he is too cute! I thought about making a couple for some of my really good friends at work. The last time I made a bear, I got tired of messing w/ it and now he sits in my bedroom w/o any arms! A reminder for my husband to be a good boy! (LOL!)
