Leetec, no, sorry, I won't post pics of myself here, because anyone can see it and I'm still not prepared to admit in public that I'm a quilter... :-)

However, I do have a couple of small pics of myself on my work-related home pages. If anyone feels like thay can't live without seeing a picture of me, they can pm me and I'll send you a link to the pages...:-)

More beautiful quilts from the show! I am so happy that you found out about the show in time to make the journey. The flower quilts are spectacular and Pippi Longstocking was one of my kids favorite characters! What a nice show.

We'll all be happy to see more photos!

Oasis, did you mean the purple quilt with the green "back"? I don't know how it was made, but I got the impression it was some kind of "quilt as you go"-technique. I don't think it is the french braid pattern, but surely something similar could be done with that. In particular if one is as talented as you or HappyMrs...:-)

I'm such a newbie that I didin't even know I was watching and photographing something colorwashed... I never heard of the colorwash method. What is it?

Oh, I love the two-sided quilt. And the one with the big flower is stunning. I am so enjoying this. Are there more pics??? I'm so glad you got to go.

Hi Maria,

The green quilt that is the back side of purple one. Actually they are all really nice.

Here is a website to a design by Gai Perry. She calles them "Impressionist" Quilts and others are called "Watercolor" but they are both the colorwash method. This show cases one of her books then go to the bottom and there are a few more.

http://www.amazon.com/Impressionist-Pal ... 623&sr=8-1

Even if I don't ever make one of her patterns the books are full of her quilts and they are amazing.

Have Fun,
Linda S / OASIS
