Homespun - I really hope you enjoy using your FF. Is the 'snow' really really white? I love the 'latte' and hope to get some of that at the quilt show along with much more!!

Re: Fairy Frost!!
cindyg, I don't really know what to say about how white the "Snow" really is... It reads white, as in really white, but on a closer look the shine comes from very very light silver. Also, in some lights, the white may actually have a very very slight nuance of creme or egg-shell in it... So, because it depends on how fuzzy one is with the whites (and I, for one, is quite fuzzy, LOL), my best answer is: I can't describe exactly how white it is. But, in general, I'd think many would consider it really really white with a slight silvery glow...
You'll love the Latte - it is absolutely wonderful!!!

cindyg... I just took my Snow fabric out of the washing machine, and realize I should take back the mentioning of cream and egg-shell... It really is white, but with a slight touch of white pearl...
At least when it is wet, LOL!

Thanks Homespun. It's just really hard to tell colors on the internet.

Homespun Mary,
I just purchased Thimbleberries "Christmas Street: count down to Christmas book. It has several designs with snowmen that I would like to make. Since you have the snow fabric what do you think of it for snowmen? I sounds beautiful.

roseytoes, I just made my first cuts into the Snow FF, and it is wonderful to work with! And, yes, I think it would make perfect snowmen!
But, again, as cindyg said, it is really hard to describe exact colors/nuances in writing, so don't really trust me in case you have very different taste than I have... But, on the other hand, I can't see anyone not liking it, and, should you not use it for snowmen I don't doubt that you could find another use for it...

Cindyg, I'm curious.... How come your fairy frost is sooooo photogenic in the Road to California block? I've tried to take pics of mine, but the shine just doesn't show at all in the pic... Did you take the picture in daylight (sun?) or in the evening with a flash?
This is the closest I've come to catching the look of the Snow Fairy Frost, here compared to regular white cotton muslin, in two otherwise equal sets of flying geese. Do you see the difference?

Re: Fairy Frost!!
Homespun - first, your FG's are beautiful and yes, that FF would make terrific snowmen. That white FF looks like ice crystals - it's beautiful, especially next to the blue. When we took the picture of my blocks we had all the lights on in the family room and used the flash. I think I was standing a bit to the side so my shadow wasn't on the blocks. It really turned out good as far as showing up the FF. I think mine looks better that the FF we see on the internet and even Michael Miller's site if I do say so myself - LOL. That's why I wanted y'all to look at my blocks - not to look at the blocks but to look at the fabric. I know your FG quilt is going to be outstanding with the FF.
