I had an idea that might work. Order the fabric and have it sent to me, and I'll forward it to you. Not sure what the shipping cost would be for you but at least you'd have it. It probably wouldn't cost a lot to have it sent to me, but the international cost might be high. Let me know what you think. I promise I wouldn't keep any of the fabric. :)

Leetec, I think I may have found a store that will ship it overseas. But, that is so very nice of you to offer! I can't believe how kind and helpful people are on this forum!

The place I've found is called WebFabrics.net. Anyone heard of them or bought something from them?

Homespun - I'm so glad you were able to order some Fairy Frost. I was the one who said "fabric acquisition hardship" and here you've had one trying to buy some of my favorite fabric! Be sure and let me know how you like it when it arrives. I'm so excited.

cindyg, I haven't ordered it yet - I'm still debating with myself if I want to give out my credit card number to a company I've never heard of. But, I'm pretty sure that in the end my longing to see the Fairy Frost fabric will outweigh (if that is an English word?) the credit card risk-taking, LOL!

And, yes, LOL, do you see now how right you were with the fabric acquisition hardship comment?

And, also, since you seem to be the expert: do you know which one of the "snow", "ivory", and "natural" is the closest to white? I'm guessing it is the snow, but it is a bit hard to tell on the screen.

Homespun - I'm not sure about the white. I just went to the Michael Miller website and looked at the fairy frosts there. There is 3 categories: Fairy Frost, Fairy Frost New, and Fairy Frost Glitz. I saw a white that I will use (if I can find it) in my baby quilt. It's called 'cotton glow' #CG376. Anyway, take a look at that website and see if you can tell about the whites. The fabrics that are in the Glitz have little bitty glitters in them. I hope this helps. And I know what you mean about the credit card thing. So far DH and I have had very good luck. The background fabric in my Egg Money BOM is fairy frost. There's a pic in swaps, I think. Yes - under Egg Money block 2 - Road to California. It's the veiny FF. I think if you get the veiny white it won't be as white as you want it.

I'm glad you were able to find some, Maria. If you decide to go witha different company let me know. Us quilting sisters have to stick together, you know? :)

I'm pretty sure the snow would be closest to white. I think I have a peice of the snow but I mostly have FQ's without the informantion on the salvage.
You will love the FF! They are wonderful!

What do they say....."curiosity killed the cat"? Well I just HAD to see what you were all drooling over so of course off I went and checked the websites that you were all writing about and NOW I WANT SOME!!! They are just beautiful fabrics, they seem to have a"shimmer" about them for want of a better word and the colours, well oh my gosh they're beautiful. I wonder if the 3 kids want to pitch in together and buy me some for Chrissie? Hmmmmm....

Homespun - I can't wait for you to get your FF. You won't be disappointed.

Kadie - they do have a shimmer. I think my picture in "swaps" shows the fabric better than the website so go to "Egg Money Block 2 - Road to California" and a picture of two of my blocks is there on pg. 2. Shows off the Fairy Frost. You really NEED to get some of that fabric. There are several different lines so be careful if you order.

I got my 3 swatches in today's mail just now, they are really pretty! Now I know I can feel free to order some & have a good idea of what they will look like. I wonder why I can seem to find it locally, I'm sure this is selling good. Oh well, at least I can order some online now, lol. What are you all doing with yours? The ice cream cone quilt pattern sounds neat, but besides the pic of the quilt posted here, I am wondering what other neat ideas anyone has come up with for these fabrics, they are so pretty!
