Your room is very nice. I'm in the middle of re organizing my sewing room. I put up bookcases and have a mess everywhere. I'm sorting my fabric as I go so that takes a lot of time. It's amazing how much sewing stuff I've collected and forgot about.

LOL I know! That's how I found the table runner! I'm machine quilting it now so I can actually use it! I stacked everything but the furniture out in the hall and just brought one thing/basket/pile at a time back in. The rule was 'it has to have a place if it wants to stay". LOL - I got good at finding 'places' but I did get rid of a good sized trash bag too.

You have made the most of your space. The idea of having a whole room to have to yourself, just for sewing, that is a dream of mine. I have to put my sewing machine in the corner of the bedroom that my husband and I share. So storage is not good. Half of my materials are in cardboard boxes in my unfinished basement. It does have a dehumidifier going all the time, just in case. I have four kids at home and a house the size of a double-wide trailer, so remember that you do have a room just for sewing available. Some of us just have to put stuff on the bed while we work, and get interrupted, a lot! The table runner looks great, isn't it nice to get something completed that we started, even if it is a year or two later? ha, I lose stuff, two.

Hey artgirl! I used to live in Dexter MO 9 years ago! Jackson is pretty!

My sis-in-law sewed in the corner of their BR for years as well. She finally took over a room herself a couple of years ago, lol. It helps make up for that "empty-nest" syndrome!

Your room looks Great. My room is the dining table when it's cold, otherwise it's outside under my carport. My house is so small. Part of my furniture is rubbermaid containers w/fabric in them. I put a pretty piece of fabric on top and it's a chair. My cutting tables are outside.I set it all up with machine, ironing pad and cutting table. Oh and of coaurse my jams! From the 50's to Motown,Earth,Wind and Fire.Salsa to Fergie(my humps my humps my lovely lady lumps).don't mind me it's a quarter to 4 in the morning and I can't sleep. I'm the clown in the family, but I sure love to sew.Maybe I'll be blessed with my dream sewingroom one of these days:>
P.S. my hubby made me a pegboard and I'm able to put all my tools on it.Just a suggestion.
