I had done a quilt top on-line many years ago. It is called 'The Continental Drift'. Because it traveled around the U.S. It took about a year to get around the country and everyone had a top to finished. My square is the pine tree since at the time I lived in Upstate NY. I think there were 7 of us. Each made a square then passed it on to the next until 4 squares were done. Next person set them together, next sashing, then borders. I can't remember excatly how but I have a photo book and notes from each person. Each of us wrote a note and sent pictures so in the end the person got back a quilt and a story. OH and we each signed our work.
