Quilt for Charity

Post by zfatcat » Mon Aug 20, 2007 11:07 am

My guild donates cut fabric that you can take home and make a quilt for charity. The cuts are 3x6 rectangles and they give you enough for 13 across and 7 down. Notice the fabrics don't match at all. So I made 4 patches and added sashing. With all the different fabrics, they look better separated.

Nicely done, Zfatcat. Do you get to keep it or is it going to someone?

I see a beautiful quilt, but not an error! Where's the error?

Very smart idea! Now, just don't tell them that's why you put sashing in. It looks like it's suppose to be that way.

That's a good idea - adding the dark sashing. I make a lot of charity quilts from my own scraps and that would be a good way to use them.

It is wonderful. A quilt a month!!! I'd go nuts (not that I am not already). I like the idea of doing one for charity. I'll have to do that one of these days.

quilt1932 the fabrics don't go together at all. So if you separate them, you can kind of match a light and a dark.
