Sorry for the delay, but I do work and am trying to get ready to leave at 7AM for a cub scout camping trip and guess who is in charge of the food! The story is - if any of you remember a few months back ollie1shoe told us the story of her granddaughter who had stomach cancer. Her name is MacKenzie. Several of us got together (GeorgiaPeach, maryq, cindyb, astitchintime, tiggersmom and me) and put our resources together and made her this quilt. Georgiapeach also made her a matching pillowcase (I forgot to photograph that!). I think this project started back in late May. Can't really remember. GP, maryq, cindyb and stitch all donated the quilt top fabrics, I pieced it and provided the backing. Tiggersmom did the most gorgeous quilting. It doesn't really show in the photo but is perfect for a little girl. Can't remember what the pattern is. We wanted to keep it a secret from ollie. Looks like we did a great job (maybe she still doesn't know!) I did put my return address on the box but QIAD forum under it. I sent a letter to for her mom to read to her. I thought it was clear who it was from. ollie doesn't post a lot so we may just have to wait. I have emailed her to make sure it got there. That is the secret.

I think the quilt is for the little tiny grandson we have all been praying for. I cant remember his name!

Thank you again for restoring my faith in humanity, by making this special quilt for MacKenzie. I'm sure that MacKenzie and her Mom will both love and that it will be very special for both of them. I was very happy to be a very small part of this secret project.
