I think I'm going with Tn.block frome quilterscache. It looks real easy, but it's kinda funny looking. But I think the browns and golds I will be using will blend in with the other fall blocks.

I guess I'm really thick-headed but I know the block is the same for all 20 blocks but is the fabric supposed to be the same on all or different.

From my understanding, all 20 of your blocks will be identical. You choose the block, choose fall colors and if I'm not mistaken, write a little note telling why you choose that block. I plan on typing mine up in Word then printing off 20 copies. I also plan on making 20 Cyclone blocks (all in the same fabric) to represent all the places that I lived that were Tornado magnets!

It will be a beautiful sampler quilt when you get your blocks back from CindyB and put them all together.

I'm thinking the Vermont block from the website listed, also thought about the Cyclone block here (since one of the college teams in Iowa is the Cyclones, and we also have tornados), but Evie beat me to it.

I've found some wonderful gold/dark gold/autumn brown fabrics, along with a some wonderful browns... have also found a red that is almost burgundy.... I'm still leaning towards the Maple Leaf block, though... since Vermont is big in maple syrup, and also a guy in Lanesboro also make maple syrup - would you think Iowa for maple syrup!!! LOL!! Tastes different from VT syrup, though.

Come on in and join, everyone!!!! This is going to make a beautiful quilt!!!!

Fall Colors - fun blocks!!! LOL!!!

I'm going to go through my list from when I originally came up with this idea and start PM'ing people who expressed interest!!!

BTW - I think I'm going to get a Bee stamp and stamp a BEE on all my tags for the quilts I make from now on - this is due to GP's idea of putting a peach on hers!!! Love that Idea - and my mom puts a bumblebee on all the lifejackets, towels, etc. that she has at the lake so that we know they belong to us (my maiden name also begins with B!!! So - I've been CindyB for a LONG time!)

I am really torn about what block to make. Do we have any other Texas Gals in this swap?

Oh, well I guess I must commit to one, so I will do the TEXAS ROSE block.

I'm really excited about this one! I don't know why, but I think it's going to be a blast!

I'm also thinking on other ideas for swaps that are a little different...

CindyB, okay, this one sounds like too much fun to pass up! I can definitely do 20 blocks by October 31st! Now I need to decide which one to do--!

I just got my favorite sewing machine back from the shop--it's been WEEKS, but they had to find a part for her innards and Sadie is an old gal (circa 1972?), so it took a while. I am itchin' to do some stitchin'!
