Digital Camera

I want to buy a digital camera but not sure which one to get. Does anyone have any ideas on which brand is better? Since many of you ladies have posted pix I thought this would be a good place to start. Have a great day!

I have an Olympus, which I absolutely love, but I am sure there are many other good ones. The Kodak Easy Share is supposed to be a good one for the price. The only one I have experience on, though, is my Olympus.

My DIL has an Olympus and it is wonderful.

It's small (fits easily into a pocket) and has a large viewing area that has filters or something so you can see the LED pic even in the sunlight (I have to cup my hands or go to a shady spot to see the picture I just took).

I have a Canon Power Shot A75 and really has more than I'll ever use and is kind of bulky compared to the Olympus she has. As long as it has a movie mode, microphone and at least 3 or 4 pixels, it is really all that is needed for the amature pic taker.

Let us know which you decide on, I'm kind of in the market for a different one for Christmas.

I have a Kodak easy Share... which I love, but if I had done a little more research I would have bought at least something that didn't use AA batteries. My camera eats batteries like crazy! So, go for something with a rechargable battery pack. I've tried recharagable batteries, but can take about 3 pictures and they are dead!

The new rechargeable batteries are much better now. I bought the Kodak battery charger and it came with AA and AAA batteries for about $18 at WalMart. They last a long time in my digital camera where before I got about 5 pics per a set of batteries. The Kodak Easy Share is very simple to use and to change settings. The software program that comes with it is very nice too. I have a Samsung digital camera and it is nice but tedious to change the settings. My next one will be the simplest one they sell whatever the brand.

I have a Kodac Easy Share. It is easy to use.

I have been very happy with my Kodak Easy Share. Until it went kaflooy on me last week. Not sure if they are going to be able to fix it. The best thing about the camera is the battery. It is one of those flat re-chargeable batteries and it goes on forever. It's very easy to download the pictures into my computer. I'm kind of hoping they can't fix my camera so I can get a new model.

I liked my Kodak Easy Share, until it went thru the washer (long story!!)

The only thing was that it seemed like it took a long time to take pictures, and action pictures were blurry.

I have a Canon now, and it starts quicker, and takes much better action pictures. It is almost professional grade (like one step down), and I have a lot of fun with it!

I have a Canon Powershot S3. It is wonderful with a great zoom lense. Has a stablizer so no shaking photo's anymore. I bought it off Amazon, free shipping and no sales tax. Does not eat batteries.
