fabric search

Post by cabingirl » Mon Jul 23, 2007 10:10 am

Hi everyone! I'm new here and I have a question for you girls. About 4 years ago I ordered a quilt kit from Keepsake Quilter. I was still working at the time and didn't get around to putting the quilt together till last year. Well, my problem is I got all the piecing done, took it to a longarm quilter and just picked it up this week. I used the last of the material for the binding and was almost finished sewing it on and noticed I didn't have enough. Now I'm on a search for the material. It is Maywood Studios "Sail Away" collection. It is medium blue background, dark blue/black stems and white daisy like flowers with red center. Flower is about quarter inch diamater. Anyone have an idea how I can find some? I've already searched the web but have had no luck. Thanks for your time and advice if you have any.

Cabingirl - I'm no help but some of the quilters on here will be spouting out websites for you to go to right and left so just hang on there a little while. Someone will know the answer. Welcome to this forum BTW>

cindyg-thanks for the welcome. I have found that all the quilter I know are the kindest, most helpful and generous people. I would really love to finish this quilt because it is my favorite so far. I haven't done that many because I haven't been quilting that long, only a few years. So I still consider myself a beginner. I will have lots of questions for everyone I am sure. Have a great day.

Try going to www.fabrics.net and you give them a description and someone may get back to you with the fabric. It worked for me when I ran short. Good Luck

Thanks for the replies ladies! I can't post a picture because camera is not working right now and we are at the cabin for a month so all I have is the laptop. LynnS, yes that is the collection and what I am looking for is like MAS143-R only in blue. WeSignificant do you have the blue in your collection? Appreciate all of your help, hope to find some soon so I can finish this project. You are a great bunch of gals and look forward to getting to know you better. Have a great day.
