Yo Yo to go

Post by sewbug » Mon Jul 16, 2007 7:01 pm

Instead of taking my machine and tote full of have to have stuff to sew at the guild workshops, I'm taking my yo yo maker and make yo yos. Everything I need fits in a little box. A big time saver because it seems it takes more time to set up my machine and get a project going then I spend actually sewing.

Good idea. I thought they would make a good thing to take anywhere. A kit for on the go.

I have a project bag that I got from QIAD that has all the necessities to make yoyos in the car. Whenever I go somewhere that I am sitting and watching or talking or whathaveyou, I can pull it out and get some done. I hate sitting with my hands not doing anything. Besides, hands that aren't engaged in a profitable task tend to put food in my mouth. I DON'T need that!

I have been making yo-yos since yo-yo garland in Christmas at Bears Paw. I also keep the small project bag with a clover pendant cutter, Strong thread, and precut circles in my purse at all times. It is definitely a conversation starter. Using the pendant cutter you can do these on the plane.
