Hummel Figurine Quilted Table Runner

Post by SFOQuilter » Sun Jul 15, 2007 6:07 pm

The mother of a friend of mine loves Hummel figurines and when I saw these designs I knew I had to make something with them. I embroidered three blocks and did a very simple table runner...which was also my first stitch in the ditch project:)

I collect Hummels, so I really love this! Wow! The detail is amazing! Is that Fairy Frost fabric? I have never taken my embroidery unit out of the box and I'm embarrassed to admit that. I was trying to get used to my new machine and learn how to use the bells-n-whistles, then the quilts just started coming fast-n-furious, and I look up and all this time has gone by! LOL! What brand embroidery thread do you use? After seeing your gorgeous embroidery it makes me want to dig in and start!

Hello Georgiapeach, I don't know what kind of embroidery machine you own, I have the Brother Innovis, but it does not mater what kind of embroidery machine you have, when you buy the Hummel CD, you get the thread with it also, the cd comes with a kid, but if you have the Hummel designs already, you can buy the METTLER thread for the designs, I bought the designs, they are really beautiful.

Hello georgiapeach, it is about time you take the embroidery machine out of the box, I can bet you would have the time of your live thinking of things you can embroider, if my sweet man would not hide his under pants from me, I would embroider them also :-) I have embroidered table cloth pillow cases, and even made 2 embroidered quilts, so now, go ahead and open this box, and start embroidering.
