Here's whats needed for the blocks:
For Sampler One (12" finished block)
Four 5" squares background
three 4 1/2" squares medium (for flying geese)
three 6" squares dark (for flying geese)
one 3 1/2" center square, can be fussy cut or medium or dark
3" X 6" flying geese ruler
For Sampler Two (18" finished block)
Four 6 1/2" squares background
three 5 1/2" squares medium (for flying geese)
three 7" squares dark (for flying geese)
one 4 1/2" center square, can be fussy cut or medium or dark
4" X 8" flying geese ruler
The only difficult part I had was deciding on what fabric.
My first block is in Thimbleberries and the second in Batiks. I had fun deciding what to fussy cut for the centers. You don't have to fussy cut the center block, it could just be same as the "Goose". I did my two different in that I changed the color of the flying geese in the Batiks.
This block is not hard at all if you have the Flying Geese Rulers. And remember, this is a very forgiving block in that it is oversized and you will have to square up. I thought I had really messed up on the orange geese in the batiks but it still came out right!
