I was born in Oklahoma but raised in Calif. My dad said I wasn't a real Okie being raised in CA . . . . He called me a 'prune picker', that made me sooooooo mad but I still claim to be an Okie to this day!
I'm just a transplanted Okie...........does that count??? lol

Oh you betcha Tiggersmom! We certainly take ct. of all transplants! You couldn't help it. I wouldn't want to be called a Prune Picker either. LOL

I just bought Kona Cotton in the 'wheat' color..........is that too dark??????? My LQS was out of anything lighter except white in the Kona Cotton. If you all think it's too dark, I will buy a lighter shade when they get some in stock.

I don't know what color or # mine is because I got it on sale awhile back. It's a little lighter than I'd like for this, but it'll look ok, I hope. Actually, I think anything from ivory to tan will look really nice with these fall/winter fabrics, it'll give it a warm touch. I think we should go with scrappy and mix it up, and not worry about matching each others colors because that'd be nearly impossible to do. The wheat you're using Tiggersmom, I think will look wonderful! The blocks in Kay's quilt were all variations of shades and it looked wonderful! I say we roll with what we think will look nice and what we want to use or have on hand, it'll all be in the shades of ivory/cream all the way to tan. Mine is awfully light, so the wheat and other shades a bit darker, will be great contrast, I think. Which Through the Seasons is everyone using? I think because my kona is so light, I'll use the scarlett/black colorway for mine. What do ya'll think? I have the other colorways to use if ya'll think it'd be better.

I'm using Christy's rose in the Biege colorway for the 2 rectangles and the Vintage Rose in Scarlet and Black for 2 of the triangles, and GP's Kona for the autograph and 2 other points.

I got the Christy's Rose in plum and the Vintage Rose in beige, because the flowers match the plum, with natural muslin. Is this okay?
