I bought 5 yards so I could use it for the first border and maybe the binding. I have a really nice muslin that I bought at hobby lobby it's a really nice quality. We do use 2 different fabrics for the block the other color I already had is Damask Wintergreen tts 1172-44.I only have 1 yard of the wintergreen and thats what it takes for the triangle on the ends of the block.

Here is the yardage from the book
Background 2 1/4 yds
(10) 2 1/2 strips Muslin for the center of the block or Kona Cotton I have Bone color (You can buy Kona Cotton at Joann's)
(6) 5 1/2 Strips cut into (40) 5 1/2 inche squares. This is for the outside of the block triangles. We will do 2 in muslin and 2 in a print.
(6)3" strips Framing Border First outside Border

Prints 2 1/2 yards Throught the seasons Autumn and fall line
Cut (10) 2 1/2 strips
(40) 5 1/2 Squares

Border 1 1/4 yds
(7) 6" strips
Binding 2/3 yard
(7) 3" strips
Backing 4 yds
Batting 60x84

When you finish your 40 blocks you can send them to me with a self addressed envelope inside and I will divide them up and send your set back to you.I will send you my address.

WOOHOO Sounds good to me! I hope I can find some decent Muslin around here. If not I will get a fabric close to it in color & thread count.

As much as I hate to, I think I'm going to have to opt out of this swap. Whether we get the house we're trying to close on in OH or not, money will be tight until we sell the house in NY. The rent DH is paying for a small extended stay hotel room is more then the mortage should be on a whole house, with 2 1/2 acres. If I already had the fabric in my stash I could do it but I'd have to buy all the fabric except the muslin and I just can't afford it right now.

If I can wait until later to make a final decision, I will. I'd really like to do it but we'll see how things end up with closing. I really, really do want to do this, esp sicne so many new people are joining.

I am so bad! Do you realize that I just said, not more then an hour ago that I wasn't going to do this swap and I'm already saying well..maybe I will after all? I am terriable.

Okay, here's my final answer...If you get so everyone has signed up who wants to, and you still need one more person, I'll do it. No, really, that's my final word.

I am not going out of town my brother called and he wants to go fishing with my dh so I talked the dh into going with his parents and my brother. I am so happy I really didn't want to go I was just going for him.

I am with Leetec. I am on a budget crunch and I bought 30's reproduction fabric for the first swap. I too would love to be in the next one with the new people, but put me down as a definite maybe.
