I'm not laughing. That's a darling quilt and the colors are just perfect (purple is my favorite color). You do such good work. I think you should show it off and let those people know that they are just really behind the times and that quilt making is the rage. Where have they been???

Again, thanks a lot for all the nice comments!
Cindyg and Tiggersmom - as for the laughing part, I think all of the fabric snobs out there would really laugh if they'd seen a closeup of the fabrics, and the perfectionists would have a good laugh when looking at the non-matching corners of the squares, but luckily for me, the picture is taken on enough distance to not show these things too clearly...
As for showing the quilt to my friends, well, I actually do think the parents of the baby who got it were quite happy (at least they said so). I also have some hope that the black-and-white quilt that I'm working on at the moment will have enough of city-look to at least make some of my friends see some merits in quilting...
My hopes are no too high, though...
