Roosters and Blocks

Post by sewbug » Sun Jun 17, 2007 8:32 am

Here are the yard sale Roosters. The BOM sampler blocks are on my design wall auditioning for sashing and what setting to use.

I love the quilt, but I do have one little suggestion. Bring one of the blues down and exchange it with the bottom green one. I think it might draw the eye over the quilt a little better.

Get find on the roosters.

Great Job on the quilt blocks

I have one of those roosters. A girlfriend gave it to me after her grandma had passed on because she knew that I collected Roosters and chickens

These blocks are just random placed right now. It isn't the final placement at all. Some are barely hanging on by the looks of it. I may use them all or I may make different blocks. I'm still auditioning sashing colors. I have until August to figure it all out, that's when the class has a quilt show of our finished work.

I should have added that it took my girlfriend and I 4 hours to twist and turn the quilt "Turning Twenty." I finally had to make a 21st square to get it where I wanted it. It also took 3 months to decide what color to paint a hallway, and then I didn't do a great color choice.

Meant to say GREAT find. My fingers get ahead of my brain. Of course, snails keep ahead of my brain.
