Cathy, I go "visit" that fabric often. I unfold it, refold it, stroke it, spread it out and hold other fabrics up beside it to see what would look nice with it, etc...! I also talk to my fabrics and they always agree with me. It's a large scale floral, and I mean really large, so I think I'm going to do a large fussycut block with the flower, then use sashing to frame the block. Or use it for backing. It's too pretty to cut up. When we get the re-organizing finished I'll post pics of the other 8 bookcases.

I'll have him post more pics of it, but THIS time I'm going to clean it up first! LOL! Everytime I see that pic of Daisy on the flannel quilt I crack up...she was pouting because I wouldn't let her have a piece of candy I was eating! She was trying to guilt-trip me when I took the pic!

No, it's not hard at all, but you do have to handle it a little differently than regular cotton. You must wash it first, and I use a slightly longer stitch length, and it's recommended you use a simpler pattern without as many small pieces. I used the Churn Dash pattern for the one in the pic and it went together real easy and was fun. I used wool batting in it, and that quilt is so soft and cuddly, just love it! You should try making one with flannel!

Poor Miss Daisy didn't get any candy. *sniff sniff* You can tell that the poor little doll is so mistreated. LOL She is adorable!
I have made 6 flannel Fence Rail quilts. Gp is so right about washing first before cutting.
