Re: The "Twist" Quilt (for Kadie)
Glad to see a picture of you so I can put a face with a name. I just knew you'd be thin but I misguessed what you look like by a long shot. I like you better the way you are - LOL LOL Now, your quilt is fabulous, perfect and I KNEW it would be. I just knew you would be the pro here. GP may be the blab queen but IMO you are the quilt queen. I could not find one place where your corners didn't match or find a single thing the least bit out of kilter - and I looked! Beautiful quilt. I'm dying to see more.

QC - What is this block/quilt called? Only three fabrics, that's my style plus I see an opportunity to put embroidery in the open areas. Awaiting your reply with fabrics in hand..........

Re: The "Twist" Quilt (for Kadie)
The pattern is called "Twist" and the only place I've ever seen it published is in a book I bought at Joann's called Big Book of Best-Loved Quilt Patterns. It was published by Leisure Arts to mark the Joann Stores 60th anniversary. It was a very easy quilt to make - 2 blocks, a snowball and bright hopes set on point. BTW, my DH picked out the fabrics for this quilt - and what may look like blue is really black. In this same book there is a pattern for a Tumbling Blocks with no Y seams, also. The book was published by Oxmoor House and I don't know if it's still available at Joann's, but you may be able to find it on Amazon. And thanks, everyone, for your nice comments.

QC, I keep coming back to look at this! Stunning. Yeah, I couldn't ask you to give up your blue ribbon quilt, so I'll take this one! LOL! I never really met a quilt I didn't like, but I really love 2 and 3 color quilts a lot. I have a quilt book of all 2 & 3 color quilts and they just mesmerize me. I guess it's the contrast that appeals to me. Are you busy taking pics of quilts getting ready to post them for us??? You know I'm going to harp-n-carp until you do.

Um, GP, this one had a blue at State Fair, too (blushing modestly), in a different year. The batteries in my camera are at this moment charging up so can't take more pics till they're done. I will try to post some more. BTW, can anyone tell me how to get more than one pic in a post?

Cathy, I've been quilting seriously for about 5 years - since I retired. I started a few years before that but never had much time to work on them. Once I wasn't working anymore, well, this just took my life over. I am completely self-taught - I can learn from books whereas some people need the hands-on. That is why I teach classes because I love this so much I want to pass some of it on to others.

Well, I can certainly see why it won a blue ribbon. I hope you pass on some of your expertise to me! Afterall, the way you and Quilt_Florida chased me out of my home and I had to leave my stash behind to outrun ya'll in the "Who's Peaches" escapade, it's only fair you should help me with quilting now! LOL! If I'd known you had such treasures at your house, I would have run to YOUR house while you were running to My house....and made off with your quilts! Oh well, hindsight is 20/20.
