What have you been doing in my stash?? I have everyone of those fabrics! I'm a blue and yellow person, too. Those were my wedding colors (24 years ago). My family has only allowed me a couple of rooms in the house in those colors. My stash leans very heavy toward blue fabrics. With your new picture I won't keep mixing you and CindyB up. You look like someone I could definitely go fabric shopping with!

My second quilt class was for "beginners". I chose blue and yellow colors. I loved the colors but never finished the quilt. I guess I should finish it someday. I didn't like their techniques. EL's techniques are so much friendlier!

Love your colors!

Maryq - love the blue and yellow tog. You did a great job on that quilt. Did you do it El's way? And you, girl, you look SO different than how I thought you'd look. I had you pictured with dark, curly hair. I don't see any wrinkles!!

That was my very first quilt attempt before I'd ever HEARD of Elenor Burns!

You should have seen me cutting those squares. My good friend/neighbor laughed her head off when I told her how I cut those!
Sitting in front of TV with a little piece of 4" sqaure cardboard as my "template" and a scissors! I should have taken pictures of the little squares laid out on my bed trying to get them all lined up! And you should have seen me pulling my hair out trying to make sure I was sewing them together in the right order! One nite after attempting to line them up I swear I was ready for a stiff drink!

I had it professionally quilted tho, since I knew I would never be able to pull that off! The gal quilted it with pretty blue thread and the back is solid white. I'm still hoping to get a new bed skirt one day soon or perhaps will attempt making one--how hard can that be!
