Shipping Charges
This might be a foolish question, but where are the shipping charges located. I can`t seem to find it. I have ordered fron QIAD before and I was sure they had a link to show what shipping charges are??? Anyone know?

Re: Shipping Charges
Shipping charges are calculated after you complete your order. If you spend over $100.00 here on QIAD your merchandise ships for free.
Size and weight make alot of difference in the shipping from QIAD.

Re: Shipping Charges
I've noticed that UPS shipping is usually a little bit less than regular mail from QIAD!! And it's a nice treat to come home and find fabric tucked in your front door. I live ina quiet neighborhood and the UPS guy knows me, so it's safe to leave here!

Re: Shipping Charges
I just go for the free shipping at $100.00. I feel I'm saving money in the long run.

Re: Shipping Charges
Hi Eajosian, After you make you selections (fabric, notions, etc) you click check out. The first thing it asks is for your Zip Code # as this calculates costs of shipping. They must have an approx. cost by the amount of items you purchased. You will have a choice of how you want your order shipped. Priority UPS, UPS, etc. Hope this helps.

Eajosian, Just read over my post, and I meant to say for choices, USPS Priority, UPS, etc. The fabrics are beautiful on here and in many cases you are getting more than half off from what other on-line places charge.

Hi Eajosian and welcome to the forum! I sincerely hope you will be an active member and join us for quilting information and lots of laughs!
On May 14, next Monday, the U.S. Postal Service is again raising their rates. This is an "across the board" increase. For first class postage weighting 1 oz., the increase is .03. For their Priority Flat Rate boxes, the cost is going up from $8.10 to $8.95! I wish we could offer free shipping on everything but it is just not possible. When the US Post Office rate increase, so does UPS. For every item on our website, we have taken the time to determine the weight. Shipping charges are determined by the total weight and zip code of your order. We do not charge a handling charge. Shipping has become very expensive in the past few years. It seems they just keep raising the rates. Can we control this? I certainly do not know how. One thing to keep in mind, if you do not live in the state of California, you do not pay sales tax so you have a little savings there. Also, by ordering on-line you save the cost of gas of driving to a store. Here in San Diego county, I paid $3.47 a gallon to fill my car today!!

I don't know it's gonna be a toss up. Between gas going thru the roof and postal rates catching up, it might be cheaper one day to travel to the shop of choice unless they have cut off amounts on spending so there is no shipping fee! hey, a girl can dream right?

Re: Shipping Charges
I am eating humble pie. If my rant about postal rates offended anyone, I am truly sorry. I spoke out of frustration and wish I could take back my words.
