Kadie, I did the same with our kids when they were teething. Bet Punk will really love the chicken wing. LOL He sounds like quite a fun little kitty.

kadie,
It is Sunday evening and it has been a long day! Glad it is over
with. Yes we do have bears that live in the area, black bears,
they are the mellow ones. All they want is food. The real trouble
we have had is mountain lions. A few years back one came in the
yard by the house and grabbed our lab by the rear and tried to take
off with it. The dog was not even a year old. My husband was in
the yard at the time and when we both heard the dog scream like crazy
we both knew why immediatly. My husband went yelling loudly in the
direction that he heard the dog and scared the mountain lion and
it dropped the dog, thank goodness. No deep bite marks on his rear
end, but he wouldn't stop licking at it all morning. I don't go far
from my home when I go walking. If I want to go for a walk I do it
in town. That is interesting to hear that story about the wild
pigs and how quickly an infection can start. My husband wanted me
to ask you if Ben eats their meat or gives it away after the hunt?
I am going to use the advice on freezing the material after you tie it in a knot for Rosies teething. I used a cold piece of celery today for her to chew on but she didn't like it. Is Punk still
going up on the roof? Has he done anything cute lately ?

Oh My God and I thought bears were bad but mountain lions attacking your pets NO THANK YOUUUUU.
We have a lot of deadly spiders and snakes over here and that is enough for me.A snake was responsible for our last cats death.
As for Ben and the pigs. When the pigs are dressed he sells them to someone who exports them to somewhere in Europe where apparently they like the "gamey" flavour. No body here eats wild pig as far as I know.
Punk is on the roof at least once a day, and I think he goes up there to sunbake. He still loves to play Hide and Seek and Attack Cat.He's really an adorable little creature and we love him to bits.

Re: Quilter Health
kadie,
Well the puppy stage is definitly here. This morning I was in
our office going over the bills and Rosie was in the kitchen and
dining room running around. I had my soda cooler in the kitchen,
I was going to clean it and drain it from all the ice melting from
yesterday.
But little miss Rosie decided the plastic cap on the bottom, that
drains all the water out, looked pretty good to teeth on. So when I came in the room, water was all over the floor and she was running around having a good old time. She made me laugh, she is so little
and full of sooo much energy.
Just what I need !!

SewMuchTime,
Rosie was probably just hot and was trying to cool herself down!!She is surely a clever little critter and didn't want to disturb you when you were busy.

cindyg,
Rosie is a nine week old Yorkie. I have always wanted one and for
25 years I've been telling my husband I'd like a little dog.
So now that the house is empty of kids, I decided to bring
home a little four legged pricess just for me! I can't begin to
tell you how much fun she is. I laugh more than I have in a long
time.

Re: Quilter Health
SewMuchTime - I have a Yorkie, too. Schatzi will be a year old on Oct. 12. She is the PRINCESS at our house. She rules the roost. She is such a character - she keeps us laughing. She's not afraid of a thing. She is bigger than I wanted her to be. She's big period for a Yorkie. She weighs 9 lbs. She's not fat, she's just big. I love her to death though so I won't be taking her back - LOL. They are so much fun. Oh, Schatzi is NOT fun when she gets car sick. She can last in the car about an hour before she throws up. We've tried Benadryl and Dramamine and neither has worked so if anyone has any clues I'd love to hear them.

Re: Quilter Health
I tried the raw chicken wings out on Punk. After he finished batting it all around the kitchen floor I took it outside and he finaly realised it was food and not a toy.He didn't eat all of it so I threw the leftovers away in the bin so as not to attract any feral cats to the yard.
Then he decided the water sprinkler I had going was something to be explored. He kept running through it like a little kid in summer. It is so dry here I had to water the whole yard today. We've hardly had any winter rain.
