Thanks CindyB. Hope I didn't put a damper on anyone's Mother's Day. What I do hope is that it gives daughters whose mom's are still here a heads up because you never know if it will be your mother's last Mother's Day. And I hope all the mothers here have a special Mother's Day.

Happy Mothers day to everyone. I know some of you are missimg your Mothers. I lost my Father and it is hard to bare. I keeep telling myself he is with me in my heart. He is everywhere I go. Remember your most favorite memories and think about the laughing and love you shared between the two of you. That never leaves you. Remember to instill in you kids the same love and memories so they have them in the future. Happy Mothers day for you and your mother who is always with you in your heart.

GrandmaChris, I share your sentiments and you said it very well. Reading about those of you who have lost your mother's brought tears to my eyes. My dad has Alzheimers and in some respects, I have "lost" the part of him that I've always known, he's a very different person now and quite often I'm unable to reach or connect with him. I feel very very blessed to still have my mom and know what a precious gift that is. I'm so sorry for those of you who have lost your mothers, but appreciate that you have reminded us that still have our mothers how important it is to smell the roses and not take that gift for granted. And mom, if you are reading this...you are the light of my life!

Just wanted to bump this up to include the new members that are Mothers or have living Moms.

This year I'll just be happy to have my DH home for the weekend. And not have to deal with going to the IL's where eveyone will be late for dinner and grumpy. I'm sure we'll go to a local resturant and tehn DH will have to leave to go back to work.
