We're losing daylight at the rate of 2 min/day. At least in the mornings. Probably the same in the evenings.

Yesterday I transplanted a bunch of things in the yard and even my avocado tree. I never thought it would 'take'. It was just a pit I tossed into some dirt for fun - just to see what would happen. In 10 months it grew to 2-/2 feet! Don't know if it will survive the winter, but I'll baby it if we get a cold snap or snow.
I also have Spell Dancer almost finished. I never thought to see if there was a correction printed. I think if anything, it's more of an omission rather than a mistake. And I might be making the mistake. But I'll check. I think I'll finish it today and it will be ready for quilting. I better alert the quilting department. He has no real projects going right now so fingers crossed!
We had a tiny bit of misty rain yesterday for about 15 minutes. Not enough to measure, but it was better than nothing. I feel for our wildlife. I keep dishes of water in front and back yards for rabbits and squirrels, a dish of water for birds, and now I have water out for frogs. While transplanting plants I found little frogs in the trays under my large pots. And another little frog near the water fountain on our deck, where ironically I have my collection of frogs displayed!
IRISH - your family is always on the move! Kathy and Tim are amazing! And don't fret the weeds on the side yard. I always wonder who decided some plants are weeds and therefore undesirable. Our lawn is studded with gold in spring with the dandelions. I always ask Bill to hold off mowing so I can enjoy them.
JANA - I'm going to pull my book today and study up on those stockings. Not really in the mood for them yet, but maybe I will get in the mood. I also need to try to find my Christmas Ribbons quilt. I love that pattern and I'm sure I made it last fall. Didn't I?
BECCA - I LOVED your wedding photos! Maybe we should all post pictures of our weddings. That would be fun to see.
TINA - It will be nice to have shade for sitting out. Will it also shade part of your pond so your turtles can find shade, too? Hope you get rested up. You've got sewing to do, girl!
Our pork roast supper was really good last night. Except Autumn & Antonio Zoomed us just as it was ready to come out of the oven. I turned the oven way down but we talked for an hour and a half and just as we closed out that visit, Bill's sister called us and talked for a bit. It was great catching up with everyone but our dinner was a bit tough by the time we ate at 8pm. I think I'll shred the pork today and we'll have BBQ pork sandwiches for supper tonite.
What's on your menu for tonite? Got any different ideas for leftover pork roast?
