It's chilly here this morning but I still spent time on the deck with my coffee because deck mornings will come to an end before too long. I treasure what I have while I have it.
Yesterday was filled with so many things - laundry, sewing, yardwork, painting and helping Bill with stuff, among his stuff was replanting our olive tree from a medium pot into a huge pot. It used to be Vicki's and she never potted it all but left it in the paper pot. The kids told us we could have it. It's grown 2 feet since we got it in early June. Then our early evening was spent watching the coyote. He looks sick or injured so we were finally able to reach a Fish & Wildlife vet who lives only about 3 miles from us. He came right over but then we couldn't find him even though he had been lounging on our grass for over an hour at the time we called. We haven't seen him this morning, but Scottie is on guard - from the safety of our high gated deck - and isn't barking so I think he moved on during the night.
Today - will be a little more sewing, a lot more yard work, and more painting. I'm almost done with my barn block. Not sure where it's going yet, but it's taken me 3 yrs to get to this point so there's probably no rush - or maybe there is. Bill's motto in life when accused of procrastination is "Speed Kills". His current project is repainting our little wooden rocking horse. It's going to take him a lot longer than my project is taking me. And no worries about leaded paint. No paints these days contain lead, or so said the paint guy at ACE. And we're both using new paint.
TINA - you had a full to the brim weekend! And it looks like your quilting callendar is going to be full up for years to come!

LORI - sorry the jelly roll is so bland. No way to slip in a coordinating fabric with a bit more zing? Perhaps in a border? I'm wondering how it's going at your house with the storm.
BECCA - so sorry for the trouble making neighbor that your old neighbors are having to deal with. Troublesome neighbors can make life miserable. Quilting does take up room. And then your stash grows and you need even more room. And I believe you told us you only have a 1-bedroom apartment.
Our supper last night was pretty good and we have some left for tonite. So no cooking here! I'm good with that! Just heat'n'eat.
What's cookin' at your house?
