Yesterday we took an impromptu ride a little north to Georgetown. We just checked out the countryside, drove by Autumn‘s old house for my sister to see, and showed them the beautiful campgrounds Where we usually stay. They were closed this winter for renovations. And we had a drive-through lunch and ate in the car in a parking lot. It was 3 1/2 hours with one Break to stretch our legs. My sister’s knee was pretty stiff when we got back. She hasn’t felt very good this whole trip so I’ve been doing a lot of the cooking for both of us. Last night we ended up with jambalaya and we tossed in the last of the pork roast from the night before as well as sausage and some veggies. We had strawberry ice cream for dessert
Irish, you have been one busy grandma! Funny about the stink bug! We have them at home and I generally relocate them out the door.
Becca, still two more pairs of shoes to go. How long does it take you to make one pair?
Jana, I will share with Al the train info. My guess is he will let it sit in the attic and let his kids figure it out. I consider that a waste but it’s not mine train.
Lori - what’s happening in your sewing room these days?
Carol, your kitty sounds like she’s just a delight. I was watching a bird yesterday too. We were walking and it flew right past us into a tree that was full of small limbs and no leaves. Crashed into all those little twiggy limbs. It almost looked embarrassed as it thrashed its way through the tree and out the other side and kept on flying.
Since we ended up with jambalaya last night I think I will make the teriyaki chicken today. And maybe have some pasta with it.
What’s your supper story?
