Monday 29 April

Post by Jules » Sun Apr 28, 2013 10:29 pm

Morning girls....thank you for all your birthday wishes yesterday :) I had a nice day, we went to Brighton and took charley and stu out for lunch, we found a little, very old pub in a nearby village....think it was built in the 1600's....anyway the food was lovely as was the company :)

Unfortunately in the evening I felt really ill, I think I've been fighting something off, was very shivery and feverish, my whole body ached, had a tremendous headache and my poor knees were screaming in pain, so I took myself off to bed early and had a very disturbed night.......woke up this morning with a thumping headache and feeling like I've been beaten up, I ache everywhere.....but not to worry I'm just going to take things easy today and hope it passes :)

Hope you are all well and having great weather, we are definitely in spring here, the sun shows its face more times than it hides it now, so that always helps :) lots of love and prayers for you, your families and friends, work/jobs, travel plans, weather.....think of you always xxxx

Good morning Jules, Lois and those that follow.
Well, today is my first day of work. Just trying to figure out the best way to get there with the least amount of traffic. Yesterday I got started on sewing together my Jacob's Ladder quilt. I have 2 of the 6 rows together. Believe it or not this one is for me! I love making quilts for other people but occasionally it's nice to keep one. I am kinda hoping to not have to stay all day at my job. When I talked to the guy who runs the place he told me to come in and we would get me in the computer and fill out payroll stuff. See it is already cutting into my quilting time. LOL! I am looking forward to it actually. It is raining here this morning. I am gonna have to find an umbrella. Have a great day.
Jules - Happy Birthday a day late. Sorry you are not feeling well.
Lois - have a great day.

Good morning,

Jules Happy birthday a day late. Sorry you aren't feeling good. Maybe you will be able to make up for it later in the week. Hope you feel better today.

Lois hope your day at work goes by quickly. I too have to go back to work today.

Suz hope your first day at the new job goes well. I'm excited to see your JL quilt. It sounds like it will be done in no time.

Coffee is ready if anyone wants a cup. I will get mine, then off to finish getting ready for work. Prayers for all.

LOL, I sure hope my coffee ordeal isn't going to be an indicator of how my whole day will be. I went in to get my coffee and I had over filled the reservoir. Coffee overflowed and was everywhere.

Good morning, Today is our anniversary, 47 years, we may pack up and take a ride to a little antiquing town, lots of antique shops and a few neat restuarants, weather is a little iffy. we shall see....Ken wanted to take off for Savannah Ga, fro a few days but I just got home and didn't want to spend 8 or more hours in a car again. We love Savannah.

Plan on sewing my BOM today. I am anxious to learn how to do a candlewicking stitch on my machine at the next class. The more i learn the more I want to make other things using some of these stitches.

Suzette have fun on your back to work day.//

Everyone have a great day.......XXXOOO

Good morning everyone.
So when your hubby is home all day every day how do you convince him that when he uses up something he should probably either leave the empty container on the counter or write it down or just let me know. I know it isn't a big deal but sometimes you just need to refresh the system heheheheheh
Getting ready for work
I pray for all those here, your family and friends, that are in need. So many people.
Have a super day
Travel safely and return often.
And wear your pink.

Good Morning everyone.
It is nice and sunny here today. We had quite a gloomy weekend. Finally going to have a few warmer days coming up. That should help me finally feel like Spring is Here!

Jules: Hope a little extra TLC and rest will bring you back to good health.

Lois: Have a great work day and good restful evening after.

Suzette: Good Luck on your first day at new job. It probably will take a little while before it all feels comfortable. Glad you are making progress on your “Jacob’s Ladder”. When we did that block for March Lotto, I really enjoyed that one, and hope to make a whole quilt of that pattern, too some day. It is fun to make a quilt just for yourself. Enjoy your day.

Mary/Rosebud: OMG, I have done that! It is such a mess! Since you invited all of us to join you with that cup of coffee, I guess you were trying to make enough. LOL

Judi: Happy Anniversray!!! Hope you and DH have a wonderful day together.
Hope you get to squeeze in a little sewing as well.

Yesterday, I got out my old lap top, which houses my software for my Embroidery Stuff. Composed a little wording and a pretty border, and got the label made for my Cupcake Quilt. I think I will type a little message to go with the quilt to tell the story about our Cupcake Swap, and the memories it gave me of our little tea parties she and I shared when she was just a little girl. I want her to have that with the quilt so that she can know the memories I have of the fun we had together, back then.

Special prayers today for every single one of you, you are all so special to me and I appreciate your friendship. I pray that God will bless you in a very special way today, whether it be your first day at work, or just another day doing the same old routine. Whether it is a time of great grief, or special joy of celebration. I really to hope that you will all feel a measure of God's blessing in your day today.

Hugs to All!!!
