I must say I like all of the fabric that's been picked. I went more with 'blenders' as like many of you I don't have a lot of 1 yard options in my stash. (I know, then why did I design a quilt requiring 1 yard pieces?)

Last night I completed my flying geese. In the past I disliked making flying geese with rectangles and squares as my geese were never square. When I did the Egg Money Quilt at my LQS, I bought the rulers and fell in love with flying geese. So much so, when I participated in a swap a couple of years ago on another board, I picked Louisiana (4 - 3 x 6 geese) and Dutchman's Puzzle (8 - 3 x 6 geese) as my two blocks. In one weekend I make 144 geese and had one set of blocks sewn together. Since then I have to admit my rectangle and square geese have gotten better, but when making a lot of the same geese I reach for the ruler.

I ran out of background fabric -- at least didn't have enough to make the Color A and Background geese with the ruler, so I used the square and rectangle method and have a few purple and yellow HST for another project.

Thanks for the compliments on my fabrics petlover/Linda, Oasis/Linda, & Gwen. :) Gwen, they are roosters...which is a bird. LOL I didn't care for the brown that much until Oasis said it looked like caramel. Now I have a new perspective of it. Thanks! LOL

Pam: I was looking at your directions last night and was wondering about clue #2 for using the QIAD flying geese ruler. For fabric B it says to cut 9 9" strips. I was thinking that it should be 2 9" strips according to the sub cut directions. I might be, and probably am, wrong but just wanted to run it by you before I start my cutting. :) Thanks! Lori

You are correct. That bit of information is wrong. In fact I managed to overwrite my instructions yesterday and typed that in from the PDF and I thought it looked funny, but didn't stop to fix it. Let me re-read the instructions and fix them. I'll upload a new file in a bit.

Way to go, Littlebit...you are fast! I love your fabrics too. I hope to get started on mine tomorrow or Monday. I'm trying to get another project out of my way first. :)

Well shoot. The service where I had my PDFs lost their domain name. In other words, I've got to find another place to post the PDFs. Didn't see that coming. Let me work on finding another place to host the PDFs.

In the meantime, if you'll send me a PM with your email address, I can attempt to send the PDF file to you.
