Last night I completed my flying geese. In the past I disliked making flying geese with rectangles and squares as my geese were never square. When I did the Egg Money Quilt at my LQS, I bought the rulers and fell in love with flying geese. So much so, when I participated in a swap a couple of years ago on another board, I picked Louisiana (4 - 3 x 6 geese) and Dutchman's Puzzle (8 - 3 x 6 geese) as my two blocks. In one weekend I make 144 geese and had one set of blocks sewn together. Since then I have to admit my rectangle and square geese have gotten better, but when making a lot of the same geese I reach for the ruler.
I ran out of background fabric -- at least didn't have enough to make the Color A and Background geese with the ruler, so I used the square and rectangle method and have a few purple and yellow HST for another project.
