My table runner design help question

I made this for my sister's housewarming gift last spring. I want to make a table runner or placemats that will coordinate with this. She has an oval table, seats 6. Any suggestions? I have been surfing, but dial up is so freaking slow I am completely frustrated. O know it won't be done for Christmas, but I can print a picture of the project and insert a note that says "Some Assembly Required"

That is very pretty IowaGal - You could make her placemats just use the 3 stars on the side where you place your silverware and use the white for the plate area and finish the other side off with the blue and white checks - Also with an oval table I would make them abit smaller than a normal size placemat, otherwise they overlap - does that make any sense?

Iowagal - do you have the stars spangled favorites book. I'll bet there is something in there you could use. I can't get to mine right now or I would look.

Very Nice table runner. I love the choice of fabrics. Not too busy.

This star looks like El's 'triangle in a square' star. The points are triangle in a square with squares in the corner. Anybody remember which book she has this pattern in??

It looks like the Tennesse Waltz or 50 for Fighting star.
The Still Stripping after 25 yrs book has this pattern in it.

It's also in the Egg Money quilts book, under Garden Walk. That's an alternate name for 54-40 or Fight(which is what I knew it as). I didn't know that it was the same block until I got that book.
