Handbag Video

Post by Evie » Tue Nov 20, 2007 4:09 am

I've been wanting to make a hand bag and I noticed that there is a video on how to make the Gracie Handbag.

Has anyone made one of these before:

Eleanor also demonstrates in the Egg Money video how to make a tote.

I want to make a purse or tote with lots of pockets - cell phone, checkbook, pens/pencils, calculator, loose change....

Evie - I have made this bag, after I watched the video and found the pattern at a LQS. My only suggestion is to use a heavier interfacing/batting so that your tote has some stiffness to it, otherwise it is pretty floppy with just the batting :)

I use the stiff Pellon when I made this bag. It doesn't look homemade like most of my bags do. LOL

I've made 2, I think it was the gracie, I would definitely use the stiffer interfacing next time, they are great but very floppy!
