I want to thank everyone for putting your Christmas Lotto blocks in baggies so the fabric is protected,as the box they were mailed in got wet and mangled while in transit as you can see in the picture below. I've thought of using the less expensive envelopes, but I'm rethinking that now that I've seen what can happen while in transit. I'll be useing what our veteran swappers suggest.

Let me add, all of the blocks are just GORGEOUS!!!!! I'm going to have fun planning a layout for them. I'm thinking possibly on point with a sashing. I'll post a picture when I get them the way I want them.

Thanks again,
Linda/Oasis

OMG! That is why I ALWAYS use zip lock bags for fabric and when I send gifts I find a plastic bag and tape it together. Always use something to protect you fabric or project. I never had anything happen but this has always been a fear of mine. Better safe than sorry.

Caroline, The blocks are in perfect condition. Not sure what happened while on their way but they are fine. I'm not sure there is a better box. It's the postal services box. I don't think there is much rain between your place and mine so something else had to leak.

I'm glad the blocks were okay. My Great Aunt sent a letter to OH and when it arrived it was torn in half. Seems to me the PO is getting much more careless then they used to be.

It's not always the PO fault. I used to work loading planes and mail flys on planes. You have to unload stuff even if it's pouring rain. The cargo travels on a belt from the plane to the ground and a waiting cart. The cargo gets wet. You just can't park a plane in a garage and you can't wait for the rain to stop.

Hence the plastic bags.

Anyway, something to know when you send mail.

Oh my, that's bad. I am so glad the blocks didn't get ruined.
