Good morning,

Well when all is said and done we got 18 inches of snow I'm happy to say with the thanks of Eddie and Michelle and us we are all cleaned up we had to be creative where to put the snow see between both houses we have all vehicles in driveways and not on the street I was so angry someone had parked in front of my house so the plow couldn't get close enough come to find out she belonged across the street so when she came to move her car I told her not to park her car here anymore .
I'm going down to town hall after this is all over with this bizarre weather and asking for a handicap sign so that will take care of that.
Today Bill will go to dialysis Eddie will drop him off I'm staying home.
My son got over 2 ft of snow and lost power for about 14 hrs and yesterday afternoon it was still snowing.
Cape may got a foot.
Sandi got 6 inches she felt bad because she got the least amount .
Right now I'm having coffee and am really enjoying it.
I'm going to cut the background of the next be an elf quilt and get started on it this will be #3.
I don't know what is for dinner today.
Everyone have a great day.
Prayers go out to all.
Lois.

Good Morning, We have no snow it has all melted. Sorry for all the folks who go the blizzard. Be careful out there, Lois Im not exactly sure where you live but I hope your snow melts quickly.
We sure have had some strange weather ,
I will do housework today,,,I am still evicting dust Not sure who they are but this house is over a hundred years old so I am sure there are a few former residents, When we remodeled a few of the room there were notes written on the walls behind the old stuff,,,some where names and birthdates, I asked my neighbors across the street they have lived here for 60+ yrs, and many of the names were familiar to them. They pretty much new most of the residents of my house. Just normal folks. I did have a lady come by and said she had lived here before,,,We talked for few and she came in to see how the house has changed,,Needless to say she was not happy with the changes we made ( she said "I really like it the way it was!" Never heard from her again,
I am off to get coffee and unload the dishwasher. from there Ill decide what room will get my attention, Supper is up in the air,, Maybe swedish meatballs and gravy over mash potatoes...
Have a wonderful day,,,XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO,

Good morning,

We don't have snow, but if what they say is true - 12" of snow equals an inch of rain - then we're keeping up with the Northeast! Bill is up and says he feels 90% better. Pretty sure it was food poisoning of some kind. Anyway, we'll be heading for home later this morning.

CHRISS - Happy Best Day Ever! Did he learn how to blow on a pinwheel? Sounds like your plan to make someone sleepy worked - but worked on the wrong person! And you get to do it again! It's good to be Chriss!

TINA B - I'm glad your DD is improving. Being able to space out the pain meds is a big step toward recovery. Having your dominant arm immobile must be so difficult for her. She is so lucky you are able to drop everything and come help. Looks like you have plenty of handwork to keep you occupied in your "spare" time.

LORI - I've made coconut cream pie, but never with meringue. I've read that baking at a lower temp helps prevent separating. Also, using room temp eggs, adding sugar slowly, and not overbeating. All the baking sins I am guilty of. I should go to cooking confession. (probably regular confession, too, but that would be other stories  ). Still hoping to meet up with you in Sisters!

JANA - got dishwasher(s)? And yes, we all need some kind of handwork to keep us busy during those long wait times. Hope you found something. Even a good book. Mr. G needs oral surgery?? What now? You still haven't met your newest grandbaby? Got over there, Girl! There's smooching to be done!

MQ - I do get a craving for a small sweet after supper. I take gummy vitamins and Ca+. So I save them for after supper. They are next to my TV=watching recliner. They work. Sometimes. But if I keep my hands busy with something - I don't think about it. I'm sorry that big craft store in St. Cloud is gone. What a huge place that was! I think I was there in 2006. We camped in Montecello. Wish we'd known you then! We'd have had so much fun!

LYN - glad your friends made it safely and are all set up. And yes, we are sort of familiar with Spicewood, driving through it on our way into town when we come from that direction. I think I've even seen Lonesome Dove Dr. I would love to know where that Pottery Ranch place is. I love stuff like that and always try to bring something home each year. A frog would be purrfect gift for my friend, Susie. I'm more into coyotes, cats, gnomes, and swans. Though a frog would work, tool What winery did you go to? I know there are tons down there, but we went to one last year in that area that was amazing. A nice restaurant, and an outdoor patio where Scottie could be with us. We had best pizza ever. Or maybe it was the wine and the view of the Hill Country that made the pizza taste so good. We bought a few bottles of wine and also 8 glass toppers (to keep the bugs out). We intend to go back next trip to TX.

LOIS - That is a LOT of snow you got! When you say you went out to "clean it up", do you mean shoveling? Paths? Driveway? Steps? Be careful! That can be dangerous work and you know how I worry! So are you quilting Raindrops on your own or sending it out?

DIANE - how are your family on L.I. doing? How much snow did they get?

JUDI - how did the pie turn out? I love coconut pie. Also, any berry pie, pumpkin, cherry. But my all time favorite is sour cream lemon. In a 100+ yr old house, every day must be a family reunion!

Yesterday Bill spent nearly all day in bed. He got up a few times, drank some electrolyte water and ginger ale, and went back to bed. But by 6:30 he was up - until 8:30 when we both went to bed. He ate some Cheerios for supper. I got a week's worth of stitching done on my X-st project, finished one audio book and got halfway through another. The kids took me to the store for drinks and deli chicken noodle soup - which he didn't eat, but he'll be getting tonite. He's ok to drive home today. There is a rest area half-way, just south of Oly, where we can stop if he needs to nap. Today will be a better travel day - less rain. And it will be dry at home, too, for parking and unloading. We will be saying goodbye to Lee & Lara. They leave here in a week on their trip around the country - 1 to 2 yrs. So this is going to be a big goodbye. I'm going to really miss them but so happy they are doing this while they are young enough to really enjoy. Two of Lee's friends passed away young, not to mention both of their dads (33 and 45). So they decided to take early retirement and start doing what they want now at ages 57 and 54.

Count your blessings!
