Good morning,
Chilly 35* this morning, but will warm to a cloudy 43*. Going to be an inside day for sure! And I just realized today is Mardi Gras. Anybody celebrating - perhaps with a king cake?
JANA - what a crew you have! And I can't believe Ethan is so tall already. I will look for some Calgon for you! You can keep it on your emergency shelf.
You know, I've never seen Ice Age and I've always wanted to. I love Ray Romano. I thought we recorded it about a few months ago. Thx for the reminder! How are the closet shelves coming along?
JUDI - Bill seems to either be a bit HOH or doesn't listen to me. After a few years of asking him "Which is it??" he finally went and got his hearing tested. They said he was on the cusp of needing hearing aides. I've made your buns a few times and they are delicious. Much better than store bought.
CHRISS - I think a jigsaw puzzle is a great idea for Judy. Though 1,000 piece puzzles can overwhelm me. I find puzzles all the time in thrift stores and work them myself or send them to my sister. When we're done we donate them back or I give them to Autumn. She always has a puzzle or two set up in her libraries' activity rooms.
MARY Q - thanks for the info on the pattern for the checkerboard dresden plate. I have all their magazines from Day 1, but short of going through every magazine, I don't know how to find a particular pattern. So guess I'll go through their tutorials. Oh, and no - don't clean until Zara, bless her little heart, goes home. There's no point. Trust me on that!
LYN - glad you're finally feeling better. You sure needed that extra sleep. During sleep is when we all heal.
LOIS - I often use rice in soups. It's great! But add it at the last 30-45 min or so. In fact, we pulled homemade chicken/rice soup from the freezer last night for our supper. We put it in a pan on a trivet on top of the wood stove and let it heat while we watch the news. Today is sewing day. You said! Don't forget!
FLO - I've never heard of Vikings Valhalla, but then we don't get Netflix. Glad you are liking it, whatever it is.
Yesterday was my ultra sound. No more blot clots. But will still be on meds another couple months. We visited Susie as long as we were in the hospital. She's doing better, but won't go home for another few more days. We stopped for burgers at Frisco Freeze, Bill's favorite place and it's right next to the hospital. When we got home I got another dresden plate appliqued. It takes about 1/2 hour per plate. I hope to get a few more done today.
Our plan for today is to deliver all our frozen meals to Doyle. Then I'll put clothes into the trailer and some food. Since this camping trip will be a lot of visiting Lee & Lara and friends who live in the area. I expect we'll eat out at least two nights so we won't need lots of food. I'm not planning on taking any sewing except for my cross stitch. Weather is going to be kind of icky, so we won't be needing a lot of outdoor stuff. But it will be good to finally just be out in our trailer again! And to see Lee and Lara, too.
Hope today is a good one for us all.
