Another chilly, rainy day here. But we sure need it, so no complaints. Leaves are starting to turn practically overnight.
Yesterday I worked on lemurs. This pattern is completely understandable, and yet, I am doing more UN-sewing than sewing! Arghhh!! I finally just walked away from it and made a big pot of chicken noodle soup for Doyle and Susie. Doyle is still not getting around since his back surgery except for the bathroom and then using a walker. Yesterday Susie earned herself a boot from Urgent Care for a sprained ankle! They are really struggling at their house. So we delivered dinner. Our third dinner to them and one to the friend who crashed his bicycle. We're feeling like Grub Hub drivers here!

TINA - Sounds like you and Frankie can play Lord and Lady of the Manor at your table! Sorry you couldn't find a 2-leaf table. They were common back when we bought ours - 30 years ago. We haven't looked at dining sets since. So how soon are you going to have company for supper now to show off your new table? Did they take away your old one? My sister, also Tina (you met her once), finally got her new stove yesterday after FOUR missed delivery dates. My DBIL got very good at taking their old stove out and putting it back. It was our dishwasher story of last summer all over again!
BECCA - Sorry your old injury is flaring up. I hope a few days of rest is all you need. I'm betting your painting will be lovely! My uncle took up painting after he retired. His preference was landscapes - deserts and mountains. Scenes of places they visited. He worked from photographs. He found painting to be relaxing.
LORI - I probably sounded busy yesterday but really wasn't. The extra chores I did were all less than half-hour. What line dance were you learning yesterday? Does your DH like to dance? We have 2 leaves for our table which brings seating up to 8. For more, we extend with a patio table or a cafeteria table. Our table is set up to seat four but with two leaves, will go to 8. We can extend further by adding a patio or cafeteria table at the end. But we only sit at the table when company comes. Bill and I hunker in front of the TV with our plates on our laps.
Today - I'll be back with the lemurs - at least for the morning. Then I'll move to the TV and watch the Seahawks game. Since I made such a big pot of soup yesterday, I only took half of it to D & S and we had the other half for supper last night, so tonite we'll have that frozen chicken tetrazzini unless Bill thinks that is too much chicken and noodles. He may want something like burgers and salad. I'll let him choose. It makes him feel important.

What sounds tasty to you tonite?
